At Long Beach & Signal Hill Community Improvement League (LBCIL), child care centers in Long Beach and Signal Hill, California, we are changing lives and empowering our community through parent training and education workshops. We are also proud to offer teacher training workshops, helping future early childhood educators learn how to shape young minds for a brighter tomorrow.

Parent Training & Education

Make a difference in your child's life by visiting our child care centers and participating in our state subsidized child care programs for children age 2 -13. As a team, we join forces with our parent committee, our board of directors, and our staff to develop procedures and plans for the education of our young students and how to best meet their developmental needs. In the event we cannot meet any of your needs that is not directly associated with our program services, we will make referrals to other service providers with such resources. All CIL parents are members of our parent advisory committee and are strongly encouraged to participate in our quarterly meetings and take advantage of free quarterly parent education/involvement workshops.

Teacher Training & Professional Development

Long Beach Community Improvement League (LBCIL) offers teacher training and professional development to early childhood educators by assisting with permit applications, transcript review, and recommendations on required educational units and professional growth hours. Through our on/off site training, participants experience early childhood education courses, receive related information, as well as professional development hours and/or extra units needed to obtain, renew or upgrade their Child Development Permit. We provide our staff and other interested early childhood educators with guidance to advance their professional career through receiving extra units and related experiences.
